Throughout his career as a Certified Public Accountant, Steve has primarily served entrepreneurial business owners. He has assisted clients with accounting and tax issues, financial modeling, business coaching, and business succession consulting. He has worked inside private companies as well as CPA firms, and operated his own CPA practice for 16 years. In January 2012, he joined DeNet Kenefick & Associates as a shareholder, complementing the firm’s existing strengths in providing personal, individualized financial solutions and guidance to its clients.

Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in 1979, and was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Minnesota in 1981. He is married and has four adult children and a growing number of grandchildren, who all enjoy spending time at the family cabin outside of Ely, Minnesota.
